One Must Fall 2097

Maker: Epic MegaGames, Diversions Entertainment

Year: 1994

Rating: 5/5

Size: 6.47 MB

This game might be the best fighting game ever made for DOS. Its strengths include a variety of robots and with tons of moves and combos for each. The tournament mode is exceptional and features RPG-like leveling with upgrades and training. The music is great too.

In-game help will tell you about the game, and the well written MANUAL.doc will go into detail about the plot and individual fighters of the game. I highly recommend reading the in-game help as it tells you about all the important aspects of the game and basically teaches you how to play it.

To find out or change the controls go to the main menu then to Configuration>Player 1 (or 2) Input. The game runs a little slow in DOSBox, so speed up the Cpu Cycles (Ctrl+F12) as necessary. I found 5000 to be best.

One Must Fall 2097 gets quite complex and if you really get into it, you'll have a lot of questions that need answering. An excellent FAQ written by Robert Marney can be found by clicking here. It will probably answer any questions you have about the game.
