Grandmaster Chess is a nice chess game, with a lot of options. The five difficulties range from beginner to grandmaster. Even beginner was hard for me, so this game should be challenging for even the better chess players.

You can set the computer's difficulty under Game>Playing Strength. One thing I liked is Preferences>Show Legal Moves. This lets you see where you can move a piece once you click on it. There are a lot more options in the preferences menu. These include the board view (2D or 3D), board surface, piece set, and many more. The piece sets can be confusing, especially if you are playing with something crazy like robots.
